Things are starting to turn around for Yes. After a poor start off the blocks in this ridiculously competitive telco race, the new contender is looking like it might be able to keep up with the pace.
After receiving an email confirmation that our pre-registered account has been activated, we were finally able to log onto the Yes network with our Yes ID. And with that we immediately started on some performance tests of the Yes network and the Yes Go 4G dongle.
So here it is our first impression of Yes 4G network while using the Yes Go dongle.

At RM99 with RM100 pre-loaded credit, the Yes Go 4G USB dongle offers the lowest entry point into the Yes 4G network. The Go has drivers for both Windows or Mac but we’ve gotten reports that they are some issues when running the device on a Mac.
We like the packaging of the device. It’s simple and uncluttered. Inside, you get the slim dongle and an installation guide. On the device itself, a label behind reveals that the Yes Go is made by Informark — a Korean WiMAX equipment manufacturer — that carries the model IMW-U300. A quick check at the informark site reveals the IMW-U300 Go looks remarkably similar to the IMW-U100 dongle that informark advertises. We’re not sure what the differences are between the two but we will try to find out.
Weighing in at 16g, the Go feels very light and judging by its weight alone, you might think that the device is hollow dummy set. This is a good thing considering the fact that you’ll be carrying the Go with you but it doesn’t bode well for quality as it feels rather cheap — simillar to to the original W1GGY.
The foldable USB head is stored neatly into the body just like P1’s WiMAX’s older W1GGY and it flips out up to 270 degrees to the back. When compare to the W1GGY, you’ll immediately notice how much smaller the Go is. Forget about comparing it with P1’s so-called Super-W1GGY as it’s plainly obvious that the Go is much, much smaller and doesn’t need a cable or a suction cup.
Spec wise, the Go operates on WiMAX at 2.3GHz which is the allocated WiMAX frequency in Malaysia with channel bandwidth of 5MHz, 8.5MHz and 10MHz. The device has a rated download peak speed of 30Mbps and uplink of 6Mbps.

IPHONE 6

Apple iPhone fans on a budget have traditionally had a tough time of it and this remained true in 2015.
Despite the success of the moderately more affordable iPhone 5C, come the firm’s big 2015 iPhone event, Apple chose not to release a follow-up to the colourful handset. Instead Apple unveiled the iPhone 6S, which carries a premium price tag.
However, Apple has wisely chosen keep selling and reduce the price of its 2014 iPhone 6. The phone still features powerful internal components and is being upgraded to Apple’s latest iOS 9 software. The combination of factors mean it could be the ideal choice for bargain hunters.
We’re working of an updated iPhone 6, with iOS 9 review. Make sure to check back and find out if the iPhone 6 is the iOS-flavoured bargain Apple-fans need.

WHAT IS THE IPHONE 6?

When it was released in 2014 the iPhone 6 was one of the hottest smartphone on the market.
Featuring a completely rethought design, Apple loaded the iPhone 6 with a wealth of custom software and hardware features.
The combination of hardware and software features made the iPhone 6 one of the most innovative and powerful smartphones ever seen.
However, one year on Apple’s competitors have come out swinging releasing their own wave of top-end innovative handsets.
Chief among these have been LG with its stellar G4 handset and Samsung with itsGalaxy S6Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge+ range of smartphones.
Each featuring a similarly impressive array of custom technologies the phones have made many buyers justifiably question if the iPhone 6’s time in the sun has ended and they’d be better off waiting for Apple’s next iPhone.
However, having used the iPhone 6 solidly since it’s launch, we’re happy to report even though it’s beginning to show its age, there is still plenty to like about Apple's 2014 flagship.

IPHONE 6: DESIGN – APPLE'S ON TO A WINNER

The iPhone 6 opts for soft curves and seamless joins between the screen and the back. It's a very different look from the iPhone 5S, which has shiny machined edges. Barring some plastic detailing on the rear it’s all glass and metal, and looks great for it.It’s not as striking as its predecessor. The angular design of the iPhone 5S made it stand out amore. It’s the same with the iPad mini and iPad Air, although they marry the diamond cut edges with rounded metal sides.
It may not be as instantly arresting, but the iPhone 6 looks like it’s been hewn from a single piece of metal and glass and fused seamlessly together. The effect is particularly strong in the space grey finish and with the screen turned off. It is a beautiful slab of black glass and anodised aluminium. We feel the design is safe rather than ground-breaking, though. The white bezel on the silver version ruins the seamless effect a little – we’d go for space grey every time.

Pop star Katy Perry launches her third fragrance and the first one done in cooperation with Coty. The scent is called Killer Queen by the song written by Freddie Mercury, and apparently it is totally different from its two predecessors.
Killer Queen has been in my vocabulary since I was 15, because of the song ‘Killer Queen’ by Queen,” said Perry to wwd. “Freddie Mercury painted the lyrics of this woman who I wanted to be. She seemed very powerful, and she captivated a room when she walked in. I named my company Killer Queen after those lyrics. I feel like, after all this time, it was appropriate to use that name in association with something I did. I feel like I’m falling, finally, into that woman Freddie painted.”
Announced as a playful, sophisticated, powerful, edgy and delicious fragrance, it reflects the rebellious spirit of the singer. Its creation is signed by Laurent Le Guernec of IFF. Top notes include wild berries, dark plum and bergamot accords. The main note of the heart is velvety red flower (Celosia), but there are also Sambac jasmine and rainbow plumeria. The base contains cashmere, patchouli and liquid praline.
The bottle is shaped like a red ruby and comes in its own golden pedestal. The fragrance is available as 15, 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum with body lotion and shower gel. Killer Queen was launched in 2013.
